HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I hope all of you are doing well this Christmas season. I am sorry I have not been on very much this past year, but I have been battling health issues! But, all my cancer tests have come back negative, and I am doing well now. I hope to be able to blog more and more as time goes on. I hope you all will be patient with me.

My issues have not been the cancer, but my thyroid. I had it removed a few years ago, and since then I have been fighting to get my hormone levels leveled, but my body would not. I feel better since they lowered my medicine in April, but it has been a process. The doctors refused to lower my medicine for 2 years, they said I needed to be on a higher dose of medicine, because of the cancer. My body could not handle the medicine being so high, and I became so different. I could not sleep, moody, depressed, and so much more. My family literally were walking on egg shells. I hated that. I am normally not like that, but hormones really mess with a person, and I had no idea until all this happened.

I finally had a doctor lower it and I refuse to take it back up again, though my Endocrinologist is trying to push me back up. I told him, "NO"!!!!

So, the good news is, they did more testing and I am still cancer free!!! PRAISE GOD!!! I feel a bit normal again. I am so happy!!!!

I pray all you prayer warriors will lift me up in prayer! Thank you! GOD bless you!

I AM SO HAPPY AND THANKFUL THIS CHRISTMAS!!!

Johnny's Church

Hello All, Grace and Peace be unto you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

It is good to laugh! I have been going through a rough time off and on for about a year and a half now. When I can laugh, I do! I found this funny little joke and could not stop laughing. I hope it tickles your funny bone as well. Enjoy! GOD Bless You!

Johnny's Mother looked out the window and noticed him "playing church" with their cat.
He had the cat sitting quietly and he was preaching to it. She smiled and went about her work. A while later she heard loud meowing and hissing and ran ba...ck to the open window to see Johnny baptizing the cat in a tub of water.
She called out, "Johnny, stop that! The cat is afraid of water!"
Johnny looked up at her and said, "He should have thought about that before he joined my church."

The Story of Jonah

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

Here is a little girl testifying about Jonah!! This is soooo cute!! You will love it!!! Enjoy!!! GOD bless you!

The story of Jonah from Corinth Baptist Church on Vimeo.

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

All the videos I have watched this week only solidifies even more my faith in JESUS. JESUS came to me when I was ravaged by my addictions to drugs, alcohol and more. My life was a real mess, and then JESUS stepped in and spoke to my heart and I was changed forever.

It touches my heart to hear how JESUS has changed people, but this next video really touched my heart. You see, satan has really done a number on me when it comes to Muslims. I became so fearful of them. I truly see what they are doing and I really do no like it. Then GOD stepped in and touched my heart yet again, and set me free. I love them, I know they want to kill me, but they are people too, and GOD sent HIS ONE and ONLY SON to die for EVERYONE...even those who want to hurt me. HE loves everyone. HE even loves Hitler...as weird as that sounds, but HE does, and it breaks HIS heart to see HIS creation reject HIM. But, then...isn't that satan's plan?

We are called to love...no matter what! If GOD does, then who are we to do anything different???

THIS IS A MUST WATCH!!!!

Cardboard Testimonies

John Schlitt Testimony

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

Wow! This is an amazing testimony! I remember "Head East"! GOD is so good taking people out of the clutches of the devil. PRAISE, HONOR AND GLORY BE TO YOU LORD!

I hope you enjoy this next testimony! These testimonies reveal that no matter what we do, JESUS died for it, and HE loves us, and just wants us to come to HIM.

OH, HOW I LOVE JESUS, OH, HOW I LOVE JESUS, OH, HOW I LOVE JESUS, BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED ME....

Hello All, Grace and Peace be unto you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I love to listen to someone sharing their testimony of how GOD intervened in their life. So, I thought I would do a "Testimony" series. I have already posted two powerful testimonies, and here is another to touch your heart! Enjoy! GOD bless you!

Happy Veterans Day

Hell All, Grace and Peace be unto you, from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

Dear LORD, We pray for blessings on this assembly
of extraordinary men and women,
who did things most people don’t want to do,
went to places we would never want to visit,
and lived at length in uncomfortable surroundings
......we can’t even imagine.
They did what they did from devotion
to their country’s freedom, honor and reputation.

Happy Veteran's Day!!!!!

FUNNIES

A Sunday school teacher asked her little children, as they were on the way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?" One bright little girl replied, "Because people are sleeping."

*********************************

A little boy opened the big and old family Bible with fascination, looking at the old pages as he turned them. Then something fell out of the Bible and he picked it up and looked at it closely. It was an old leaf from a tree that has been pressed in between the pages. "Momma, look what I found," the boy called out. "What have you got there, dear?" his mother asked. With astonishment in the young boy's voice he answered, "It's Adam's suit!!"

*********************************

The preacher was wired for sound with a lapel mike, and as he preached, he moved briskly about the platform, jerking the mike cord as he went. Then he moved to one side, getting wound up in the cord and nearly tripping before jerking it again. After several circles and jerks, a little girl in the third pew leaned toward her mother and whispered, "If he gets loose, will he hurt us?"

*********************************

Six-year old Angie and her four-year old brother Joel were sitting together in church. Joel giggled, sang and talked out loud. Finally, his big sister had had enough. "You're not supposed to talk out loud in church." "Why? Who's going to stop me?" Joel asked. Angie pointed to the back of the church and said, "See those two men standing by the door? They're hushers."

*********************************

My grandson was visiting one day when he asked, "Grandma, do you know how you and God are alike?" I mentally polished my halo while I asked, "No, how are we alike?" "You're both old," he replied.

*********************************

A ten-year old, under the tutelage of her grandmother, was becoming quite knowledgeable about the Bible. Then one day she floored her grandmother by asking, "Which Virgin was the mother of Jesus? The virgin Mary or the King James Virgin?"

*********************************

A Sunday school class was studying the Ten Commandments. They were ready to discuss the last one. The teacher asked if anyone could tell her what it was. Susie raised her hand, stood tall, and quoted, "Thous shall not take the covers off the neighbor's wife."

*********************************

I had been teaching my three-year old daughter, Caitlin, the Lord's Prayer. For several evenings at bedtime, she would repeat after me the lines from the prayer. Finally, she decided to go solo. I listened with pride as she carefully enunciated each word, right up to the end of the prayer: "Lead us not into temptation," she prayed, "but deliver us some E-mail. Amen."

**********************************

A little boy was in a relative's wedding. As he was coming down the aisle, he would take two steps, stop, and turn to the crowd. While facing the crowd, he would put his hands up like claws and roar. So it went, step, step, ROAR, step, step, ROAR, all the way down the aisle. As you can imagine, the crowd was near tears from laughing so hard by the time he reached the pulpit. The little boy, however, was getting more and more distressed from all the laughing, and was also near tears by the time he reached the pulpit. When asked what he was doing, the child sniffed and said, "I was being the Ring Bear."

*******************************

One Sunday in a Midwest city, a young child was "acting up "during the morning worship hour. The parents did their best to maintain some sense of order in the pew but were losing the battle. Finally, the father picked the little fellow up and walked sternly up the aisle on his way out. Just before reaching the safety of the foyer, the little one called loudly to the congregation, "Pray for me! Pray for me!"

*******************************

And one particular four-year old prayed, "And forgive us our trash baskets as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets."

*******************************

One student's prayer: "Now I lay me down to rest, And hope to pass tomorrow's test. If I should die before I wake, That's one less test I have to take."

*******************************

A little boy was overheard praying: "Lord, if you can't make me a better boy, don't worry about it. I'm having a real good time like I am."

Letter from Jesus about Christmas --

It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season.

How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don't care what you call the day! If you want to celebrate My birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Now, having said that let Me go on. If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn't allow a scene depicting My birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and snowmen, etc. and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn. If all My followers did that there wouldn't be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town.

Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a holiday tree, instead of a 'Christmas tree'. It was I who made all trees. You can remember Me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that one in a teaching, explaining who I am in relation to you and what each of our tasks were. If you have forgotten that one, look up John 15: 1 - 8.

If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth here is my wish list. Choose something from it:

1. Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way My birthday is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope to soldiers away from home. They are terribly afraid and lonely this time of year. I know, they tell Me all the time.

2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don't have to know them personally. They just need to know that someone cares about them.

3. Instead of writing the President complaining about the wording on the cards his staff sent out this year, why don't you write and tell him that you'll be praying for him and his family this year. Then follow up... It will be nice hearing from you again.

4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can't afford and they don't need, spend time with them. Tell them the story of My birth, and why I came to live with you down here. Hold them in your arms and remind them how much I love them.

5 Pick someone that has hurt you in the past and forgive him or her.

6. Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to take their own life this season because they feel so alone and hopeless? Since you don't know who that person is, try giving everyone you meet a warm smile; it just could make the difference.

7. Instead of nit-picking about what the retailer in your town calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there. Give them a warm smile and a kind word. Even if they aren't allowed to wish you a "Merry Christmas" that doesn't keep you from wishing them one. Then stop shopping there on Sunday. If the store didn't make so much money on that day they'd close and let their employees spend the day at home with their families.

8. If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary-- especially one who takes My love and Good News to those who have never heard My name.

9. Here's a good one. There are individuals and whole families in your town who not only will have NO "Christmas" tree, but neither will they have any presents to give or receive. If you don't know them, buy some food and a few gifts and give them to the Salvation Army or some other charity which believes in Me and they will make the delivery for you.

10. Finally, if you want to make a statement about your belief in and loyalty to Me, then behave like a Christian. Don't do things in secret that you wouldn't do in My presence. Let people know by your actions that you are one of mine.

Don't forget; I am GOD and can take care of Myself. Just love Me and do what I have told you to do. I'll take care of all the rest. Check out the list above and get to work; time is short. I'll help you, but the ball is now in your court. And my child, DO have a most blessed Christmas with all those whom you love and remember.

I LOVE YOU,

JESUS

PUSH

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

This was sent to me, and I thought I would share it, it touched my heart!

A man was sleeping one night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might.

So, this the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sunup to sundown, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might!

Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain. Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind: (He will do it every time)!

“You have been pushing against that rock for a long time and it hasn't moved." Thus, he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.

Satan said, "Why kill yourself over this? Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough."

That's what the weary man planned to do, but decided to make it a matter of prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.

"Lord," he said, "I have labored long and hard in Your Service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?"

The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done.

Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it.
Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed.

But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back shiny and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard.

Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. True, you haven't moved the rock. But
your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. That you have done. Now I, my friend, will move the rock."

At times, when we hear a word from God,
we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him.

By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that
it is still God Who moves the mountains.

When everything seems to go wrong … Just P.U.S.H.

When the job gets you down .. Just P.U.S.H.

When people don't do as you think they should … Just P.U.S.H.

When your money is "gone" and the bills are due ... Just P.U.S.H.

When people just don't understand you ... Just P.U.S.H.

Speaking Agape

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I love this story, and wanted to repost it for new readers!

PRAISE GOD FOR HIS WORD! Enjoy the story, and GOD bless you!

In the early 60s, Brother Andrew, a man from Holland, smuggled a load of Bibles in his VW across the Romanian border and past communist guards. He checked into a hotel and began praying that God would lead him to the right Christian groups - the ones who could best use his copies of the Scriptures.

That weekend Andrew walked up to the hotel clerk and asked where he might find a church. The clerk looked at him a little strangely and answered, "We don't have many of those you know. Besides you couldn't understand the language." "Didn't you know?" Andrew replied, "Christians speak a kind of universal language." "Oh, what's that?", asked the clerk. "It's called Agape." The clerk had never heard of it, but Andrew assured him. "It's the most beautiful language in the world."

Andrew was able to locate several church groups in the area and managed to arrange a meeting with the president and secretary of a certain denomination. Unfortunately, although both Andrew and these men knew several European languages, they found they had none in common. So there they sat staring at each other across the room.

Andrew had traveled thousands of dangerous miles with his precious cargo but there seemed no way of telling whether these men were genuine Christian brothers or government informants.

Finally he spotted a Romanian Bible on a desk in the office. Andrew reached into his pocket and pulled out a Dutch Bible. He turned to 1 Corinthians 16:20 and held the Bible out, pointing to the name of the book, which they could recognize. Instantly their faces lit up.

They quickly found the same chapter and verse in their Romanian Bibles and read: "All the brothers here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss."

The men beamed back at Andrew. Then one of them looked throughout his Bible and found Proverbs 25:25. Andrew found the verse and read: "Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land." These men spent half an hour conversing and sharing - just through the words of Scripture. They were so happy in this fellowship that crossed all cultural boundaries that they laughed until tears came to their eyes. Andrew knew he had found his brothers. When he showed them his load of Bibles, the Romanians were overwhelmed and embraced him again and again.

That evening at the hotel, the clerk approached Andrew and remarked, "Say, I looked up 'agape' in the dictionary. There's no language by that name. That's just a Greek word for love." Andrew replied, "That's it. I was speaking in it all afternoon."

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I am a Christian, and I believe in life! I believe that abortion is wrong no matter what! GOD is the creator of life, not death! I believe a baby is a baby from conception...period! And, I believe that in the end, GOD will reveal to all pro abortionists exactly what it really is...MURDER!

There will be no way to run, no way to argue, because the truth will be right there, and they will one day see the truth of the extreme massacre of our children.

Do I hate them for killing babies? No!!! On the contrary, I love every human being! GOD HIMSELF does not hate anyone, but HE does hate sin, and killing the innocent, is a sin. JESUS came to die on the CROSS so we could be forgiven of all of our sin...including abortion. If you stumbled across my site, and have had an abortion, and are reading this, I want you to know, JESUS will forgive you. Please ask HIM, and be saved from your sin.

I am posting two videos of a woman who is a product of a botched abortion. Her story is real! My husband and I saw her in person about 8 years ago in Wichita, Kansas. It might long videos, but it is worth it to watch. GOD bless you all!

Homeschooling Brandon

Hello All, Grace and Peace be unto you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I have been homeschooling my daughter for three years using the A BEKA curriculum. A BEKA is a Christian school based in Pensacola, Fl. I really love it! They have the daily agenda, all the books, tests and quizzes, and everything a person will need for the entire school year.

My daughter is in the 9th grade now, and she is doing an awesome job! She went from D's and F's in the public school, to A's, B's and C's homeschooling. She really loves it!

My son (8 years old and in the 3rd grade) is joining us this year for the first time. He really wanted to be home-schooled, and has begged me for two years, but I could not until this year. Brandon, after begging me, has decided he wants to go back to public school(WHAT????)... Ummm...because mom keeps him on task ALL day...LOL! In the public school there is not a whole lot of one-on-one time with the kids, but at home, it is a different story. I do not think he likes me right there all day, but as he gets used to this curriculum, I will not have to be right there all the time. I know it will get better for him. It did with my daughter.

He has Bible class first, then Arithmetic, Language, Spelling, Penmanship, Reading and Science. Then we have Art every week too! There is sooooo much to this curriculum, so I hope he will come to like it. He is doing so well with it, except to voice that it is too fast paced.

I have a schedule and we must stick to it! I even put in Recess for him twice a day. We have a park outside our back door and an activity center with a basketball court to take them for some Gym time.

Well, I think it is going really well so far. I have a video of Brandon answering some questions. He did VERY well! It put a smile on mommy's face.

I know as the year progresses, he will progress forward in his academics, and make mom and dad very happy!

May GOD give every home-schooling parent the strength to get through each day with the kids. It is not always going to be fun, or easy, but in the end it will be worth it.

GOD bless you all!

Here is Brandon...

A City On Our Knees

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

Hello All, Grace and Peace be unto you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I know in the last few weeks there has been much tension in the news regarding the Muslims. I started to get fired up too, but GOD quickly reminded me that it is about the LOVE of JESUS, not the storm around us. We are always going to have storms in life, but GOD has called us to love one another, bear with one another. Remember... LOVE covers a multitude of sins.

Check out this blog, Off The Sanctuary Wall, for the article, Random Rant- Would JESUS Burn the Koran? I believe her heart is in line with the WORD of GOD! Thank you Sharkbytes for a loving reminder to align our hearts with the very heart of GOD.

The Last Blood

Hello All, Grace and Peace be unto you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

This a wonderful song!!! I love it!!!

After the shedding of JESUS' BLOOD, GOD THE FATHER said, "THIS IS THE LAST BLOOD I'LL EVER NEED. THE PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE FOR ALL ETERNITY. LET THE PEOPLE COME TO ME."

The Last Blood lyrics
Verse 1:
When man sinned in the garden
That sin Jehovah could not condone
The blood shed of animals
Could not forever sin atone

Verse 2:
But the Son had compassion
He said Father I'll be your Lamb
So once again blood was shed
As the soldiers nailed His hands

Verse 3:
It's been three days since Heaven
Watched their Prince of Glory die
His followers are in mourning
For in the tomb their Savoiur lies

Verse 4:
But at the grave something is happening
As death screams I've lost my hold
Angels rise in anticipation
For the Son is coming home

Chorus:
And there He comes
And He's got the blood
That He shed on Calvary
And the Father says
Well done my Son
This is the last blood I'll ever need
(Repeat Chorus)

Above All

Hello All, Grace and Peace be unto you from our LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.

Family, let's praise JESUS!!! Lift those hands high and just love on GOD, HE loves us sooo much!!! Thank you JESUS for your sacrifice! Like a rose trampled on the ground YOU took the fall and thought of me above all. (As tears stream from my eyes, I just love HIM.)

Hello All, Grace and Peace be unto you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I am in Awe at how GOD loves people no matter what, and I want to imitate that love, but it is hard because...well...I am not GOD, so I pray this prayer...

LORD, please help me to see people the way YOU see people, and help me love people the way YOU love people. Help me see YOUR potential in them instead of what satan has done to them and through them. I just want to love! In JESUS name, Amen!

When I heard this song, it reminded me of my prayer! I love it! It is my hearts cry in a song to GOD. Thank you GOD for laying this on Brandon Heath's heart to write. I sing this song back to YOU!

My hope is that we would all become imitators of GOD's love! GOD bless you!

Here is the song by Brandon Heath- Give Me Your Eyes

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

Religious "political correctness" consist of trying to serve GOD in such a way as not to offend the devil.

My KING My FATHER

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I was homeless, and HE was the KING. I was living in sin, HE died because of it... but now lives again. I was dirty, HE cleaned me up. I had nothing, HE gave me everything. I had no teacher, HE was eager to teach me. At times I feel unteachable, but HE continues to teach me. I now know love, because I am loved by the ONE who is LOVE. I had no one, and HE adopted me and took me in. I WAS HOMELESS, BUT NOW I HAVE A MANSION. HE IS THE KING, AND I AM A DAUGHTER OF THE KING! THANK YOU JESUS!

THE OLD PATHS

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I liked the old paths, when Moms were at home.
Dads were at work. Brothers went into the army.
And sisters got married BEFORE having children!

Crime did not pay; Hard work did;
And people knew the difference.

Moms could cook; Dads would work;
Children would behave.

Husbands were loving; Wives were supportive;
And children were polite.

Women wore the jewelry; And Men wore the pants.

Women looked like ladies; Men looked like gentlemen;
And children looked decent.

People loved the truth, And hated a lie.

They came to church to get IN, Not to get OUT!

Hymns sounded Godly; Sermons sounded helpful;
Rejoicing sounded normal; And crying sounded sincere.

Cursing was wicked; Drugs were for illness;
And divorce was unthinkable.

The flag was honored; America was beautiful;
And God was welcome!

We read the Bible in public; Prayed in school;
And preached from house to house.

To be called an American was worth dying for;
To be called an American was worth living for;
To be called a traitor was a shame!

I still like the old paths the best!

Carl's Garden

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

Carl was a quiet man. He didn't talk much.
He would always greet you with a big smile and a firm handshake.
Even after living in our neighborhood for over 50 years,
no one could really say they knew him very well.
Before his retirement, he took the bus to work each morning.
The lone sight of him walking down the street often worried us.
He had a slight limp from a bullet wound received in WWII.
Watching him, we worried that although he had survived WWII,
he may not make it through our changing uptown neighborhood with its
ever-increasing random violence, gangs, and drug activity.
When he saw the flyer at our local church asking for volunteers for caring
for the gardens behind the minister's residence, he responded in his
characteristically unassuming manner. Without fanfare, he just signed up.
He was well into his 87th year when the very thing we had always feared
finally happened.
He was just finishing his watering for the day when three gang members
approached him.
Ignoring their attempt to intimidate him, he simply asked,
"Would you like a drink from the hose?"
The tallest and toughest-looking of the three said, "Yeah, sure," with a
malevolent little smile.
As Carl offered the hose to him, the other two grabbed Carl's arm, throwing
him down.
As the hose snaked crazily over the ground, dousing everything in its way,
Carl’s assailants stole his retirement watch and his wallet, and then fled.
Carl tried to get himself up, but he had been thrown down on his bad leg.
He lay there trying to gather himself as the minister came running to help
him.
Although the minister had witnessed the attack from his window,
He couldn't get there fast enough to stop it.
"Carl, are you okay? Are you hurt?" the minister kept asking as he helped
Carl to his feet.
Carl just passed a hand over his brow and sighed, shaking his head.
"Just some punk kids. I hope they'll wise-up someday."
His wet clothes clung to his slight frame as he bent to pick up the hose.
He adjusted the nozzle again and started to water.
Confused and a little concerned, the minister asked, "Carl, what are you
doing?"
"I’ve got to finish my watering. It's been very dry lately," came the calm
reply.
Satisfying himself that Carl really was all right, the minister could only
marvel.
Carl was a man from a different time and place.
A few weeks later the three returned. Just as before their threat was
unchallenged.
Carl again offered them a drink from his hose.
This time they didn’t rob him.
They wrenched the hose from his hand and drenched him head to foot in the
icy water.
When they had finished their humiliation of him,
They sauntered off down the street, throwing catcalls and curses,
Falling over one another laughing at the hilarity of what they had just done
Carl just watched them.
Then he turned toward the warmth giving sun, picked up his hose, and went on
with his watering.
The summer was quickly fading into fall Carl was doing some tilling when he
was startled by the sudden approach of someone behind him.
He stumbled and fell into some evergreen branches.
As he struggled to regain his footing, he turned to see the tall leader of
his summer tormentors reaching down for him. He braced himself for the
expected attack.
"Don't worry old man, I'm not gonna hurt you this time."
The young man spoke softly, still offering the tattooed and scarred hand to
Carl. As he helped Carl get up, the man pulled a crumpled bag from his
pocket and handed it to Carl.
"What's this?"
Carl asked. "It's your stuff," the man explained. "It's your stuff back.
Even the money in your wallet." "I don't understand,"
Carl said. "Why would you help me now?"
The man shifted his feet, seeming embarrassed and ill at ease. "I learned
something from you," he said. "I ran with that gang and hurt people like you
we picked you because you were old and we knew we could do it But every time
we came and did something to you, instead of yelling and fighting back, you
tried to give us a drink. You didn't hate us for hating you. You kept
showing love against our hate."
He stopped for a moment. "I couldn't sleep after we stole your stuff, so
here it is back."
He paused for another awkward moment, not knowing what more there was to
say. "That bag’s my way of saying thanks for straightening me out, I guess."
And with that, he walked off down the street.
Carl looked down at the sack in his hands and gingerly opened it. He took
out his retirement watch and put it back on his wrist. Opening his wallet,
he checked for his wedding photo. He gazed for a moment at the young bride
that still smiled back at him from all those years ago.
He died one cold day after Christmas that winter. Many people attended his
funeral in spite of the weather.
In particular the minister noticed a tall young man that he didn't know
sitting quietly in a distant corner of the church.
The minister spoke of Carl's garden as a lesson in life.
In a voice made thick with unshed tears, he said, "Do your best and make
your garden as beautiful as you can. We will never forget Carl and his
garden."
The following spring another flyer went up. It read: "Person needed to care
for Carl’s garden."
The flyer went unnoticed by the busy parishioners until one day when a knock
was heard at the minister's office door.
Opening the door, the minister saw a pair of scarred and tattooed hands
holding the flyer. "I believe this is my job, if you'll have me," the young
man said.
The minister recognized him as the same young man who had returned the
stolen watch and wallet to Carl.
He knew that Carl’s kindness had turned this man's life around. As the
minister handed him the keys to the garden shed, he said, "Yes, go take care
of Carl’s garden and honor him."
The man went to work and, over the next several years, he tended the flowers
and vegetables just as Carl had done.
During that time, he went to college, got married, and became a prominent
member of the community. But he never forgot his promise to Carl's memory
and kept the garden as beautiful as he thought Carl would have kept it.
One day he approached the new minister and told him that he couldn't care
for the garden any longer. He explained with a shy and happy smile, "My wife
just had a baby boy last night, and she's bringing him home on Saturday."
"Well, congratulations!" said the minister, as he was handed the garden shed
keys. "That's wonderful! What's the baby's name?"

"Carl," he replied.

7 Days Without GOD

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I found this today and thought it was quite clever!

WITHOUT GOD our week would be Sin-day, Mourn-day, Tears-day, Waste-day, Thirst-day, Fight-day and Shatter-day. 7 days without GOD makes one weak!

Clever, but true! GOD bless you!

GOD'S Rosebud

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

A new minister
was walking with an older,
more seasoned minister
in the garden one day.

Feeling a bit insecure
about what GOD
had for him to do,
he was asking the older preacher
for some advice.

The older preacher
walked up to a rosebush
and handed the young preacher
a rosebud and told him
to open it
without tearing off any petals.

The young preacher
looked in disbelief
at the older preacher
and was trying to figure out
what a rosebud
could possibly have to do
with his wanting to know
the
will of GOD
for his life and ministry.

But because of his great respect

for the older preacher,
he proceeded to try to unfold the rose,

while keeping every petal intact.

It wasn't long
before he realized
how impossible
this was to do.

Noticing the younger preacher's inability

to unfold the rosebud
without tearing it,
the older preacher
began to recite
the following poem...

"It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of GOD'S design;

But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine."

"The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so easily,
But in my hands they die."

"If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of GOD'S design,
Then how can I have the wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?"

"So I'll trust in GOD for leading
Each moment of my day.
I will look to GOD for guidance
In each step of the way."

"The path that lies before me,
Only my LORD knows.
I'll trust GOD to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose."

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I love the freedom I have to be able to read my BIBLE, pray, and attend Church without fear of being arrested, beaten, imprisoned or killed. I can worship completely without fear, but it's not like that in many countries around the world!

Uzbekistan, Laos, Mauritania, Yemen, Afghanistan, Maldives, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Iran and North Korea are the top ten countries where being a Christian is highly illegal. Christians live in fear of severe persecution.

Uzbekistan has an authoritarian government that is predominantly Islamic. The constitution may allow for religious freedoms, to practice evangelism, importing religious literature and offering private religious instruction, but to practice anything other than Islam is forbidden by law. Christians have been threatened, detained, fined, forced to leave villages due to cutting off their electricity and water supply. The authorities do this to get Christians to renounce their faith, but instead they go into hiding and underground Churches.

In Laos, Buddhism is the predominant religion, but there are 200,000 Christians, and despite the persecutions, Christians continue in their faith. The Laotian authorities place Christians under strict surveillance, and place them under intense pressure to get them to renounce their faith. the Laotian government believes that Christianity is an unpatriotic, Western idea that disrupts their way of life.

Mauritania is an Islamic republic, and Christianity is illegal and punishable by death.

Yemen is an Islamic republic, and Christianity is illegal and punishable by death. Converts from Islam encounter opposition from the authorities and extremist groups who threaten 'apostates' with death if they do not turn back to Islam. During 2008 several were arrested, physically harmed and threatened. The constitution guarantees freedom of religion, but also affirms Islam as the state religion and Shariah as the source of all legislation. Citizens cannot convert from Islam; evangelism among them is forbidden.

Afghanistan is an Islamic republic, and Christianity is illegal and punishable by death. The constitution states 'no law can be contrary to the beliefs and provisions of Islam.' Most Christians are secret believers unable even to own a Bible. If exposed, Christians face fierce reprisals from family, community and the Taliban, including expulsion from their homes, verbal and physical abuse, intimidation, beatings, loss of employment, imprisonment and even death. There is no visible Church; yet the Church continues to grow.

Maldives, is an Islamic republic that prohibits the practice of any other religion. It is believed it will keep the national unity and maintain the government's power. Native Christians have to worship in secret. Foreigners can practice their religion in private and are allowed to have one BIBLE, but only for personal use.

Somalia, where Islam is the official religion, Christians are heavily persecuted. Christians are forced to worship in secret. If caught, Christians are beaten, raped, and killed. In 2008, ten Christians were killed including four teachers for their faith in JESUS.

Saudi Arabia, is a place where Christians are heavily persecuted. Islam is the official religion, and the open practice of any other religion other than Islam is forbidden. Christians are forced to worship in secret, and when Christians are caught they are beaten, tortured, and killed. Saudi's call killing a Christian an "Honor Killing". Little girls who are caught in worship of JESUS have to be raped before killing, because in the Islamic religion, a virgin cannot be killed.

Iran is an Islamic republic. There is a growing number of Muslim's converting to Christianity, and though it is a celebratory occasion, they must worship in secret.Christians live in fear everyday of being caught. The government sends secret police to watch for Christian activity. When caught, they are arrested and tortured.

North Korea, is the most dangerous place for Christians. The North Korean constitution guarantees religious freedoms, but in reality it is forbidden. The North Korean government has a government ran religion as a cover of religious freedom, but in reality 70% of North Koreans are non-religious.

Kim Jung II, is the leader of North Korea, and is revered as a god. If people do not serve him or worship him publicly, they pay a heavy price. Christians will not worship Kim Jung II, so they are arrested and put in labor camps. The conditions of the camp are horrible. There is no sanitation, no medicine for the ill, and very little to no food. The Christians are the last to be fed in the prison camp. There are reportedly about 40, 000 Christians in the prison camps. Their only crime...being Christian.

Many Christians die every day in the camps, and their bodies are thrown at the base of the mountain, and is seen by all the prisoners in the camp. An escaped prisoner, filled with much emotion, said, she saw so many bodies at the base of the mountain that it made her sick. She had never seen so much death. Why did they have to die? Because they were Christians!

She also said, that she was arrested for being a Christian, and they punish up to 3 generations of family. Her mom, dad, and kids were all arrested and placed in the camps. She has no idea if her parents and kids are still living. She made her way out somehow, but many die in the camps.

Christians, go to Open Doors and get involved. I ordered a video from Open Doors, called World Watch North Korea. It opened my eyes to the reality of the horrific, torturous treatment human beings are being subject to, all because they chose CHRIST. There are things we Christians living in America can do to help.

We can pray, send letters to the incarcerated, give money to help send BIBLES, and other necessities. Open Doors has an organization in South Korea, helping those in need of medicine, food, shelter, and much more. Once health is restored, they train up the Christians to go back into North Korea, taking BIBLES, and much needed supplies to those who are in need.

GOD is definitely working in the lives of the North Korean's, and GOD is asking us to help. Get involved! You never know what impact you could have on a life or lives! The outcome will be seen in the KINGDOM!

GOD bless you.

I am a Warrior

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I am in the middle of a battle, for I am a warrior for CHRIST. I will be sought after by the enemy, targeted, hit and yes I will bleed. But I will not drop my SWORD. I am a warrior!

My SWORD is my shield, my protector, my strength, my truth against the lies, and makes the enemy run away. My SWORD is my BIBLE, and no I will never drop my SWORD!!!!!

East to West

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

Have you ever thought that GOD is up there with an eraser waiting for us to mess up so he can erase our salvation? One day you are saved and then your not? Well, GOD's WORD is very clear about us being saved forever no matter what. If you are truly and soundly saved, then your sins are as far as the east is to the west... FROM ONE SCARRED HAND TO THE OTHER. THEY ARE GONE FOREVER!

One of my favorite songs is by Casting Crowns, called East to West. Below is the video song with lyrics. It is a beautiful song. Listen and fellowship with FATHER. GOD bless you.

No Baby!

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

I wanted you all to know that we are NOT pregnant! Just for reference sake, staring at a pregnancy test and repeating, "Be positive, be positive, be positive" does not work. LOL!

Yes, I was a bundle of stressed out nerves, but GOD brought me back to reality. Reality is, it is about HIM and only HIM. I was so "baby" focused that I lost sight of that. Not to mention I had no faith in the matter. Two weeks wasted on focusing on the baby, when all I had to do was lay it down at the feet of JESUS, and go about my business, and trust GOD with the specifics of my life.

I am so sorry my LORD, please forgive me and help me to focus on the SOLUTION to every problem instead of the problem. I thank YOU for your WORD that helps me in every storm of life. I love YOU sooooo much, and it hurts me to know that I fall short of YOUR glory. Please help me to keep YOU on the throne of my heart, because when I try to be in charge I mess everything up. I am so happy it is about a relationship, and not of our own goodness because I possess none. I am happy that YOU love me even though I am completely unworthy. I am thankful when I cry out to you "I can not handle another negative" YOU are always there to help me handle the "Negatives". You give me grace to handle all the negatives of life. Thank YOU FATHER, Thank YOU JESUS, Thank YOU HOLY SPIRIT...THANK YOU GOD! AMEN!

I have laid it all it HIS feet, and we will continue on our journey to have a baby...and if it does not happen, I trust HIM. I really do! No more crazy!

Thank you all for your prayers, I know you all were praying, because HE came in a gave me so much peace. I am not kidding, I am so calm, and peaceful. That is the POWER of our GOD!

GOD bless you!

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

Do you remember the classic song "The Devil Went Down To Georgia"? I found an awesome christian parody called "The Devil Went Down To Jordan". It is about the temptation of CHRIST. I hope you will enjoy this as much as I did. GOD bless you. Enjoy!!!

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you from our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.
