Irreverent Manipulation (Funny)

Hello All, Grace and Peace be to you!

I hope you like this little story! I just love it!!! Can you just picture GOD laughing at this? LOL!!

Little Benjamin sat down at the desk to write a letter to GOD asking for a little baby sister. He started the letter like this:

Dear GOD, I've been a very good boy...

He stopped, thinking. No, GOD won't believe that. He wadded up the piece of paper, threw it away, and started again:

Dear GOD, most of the time I've been a good boy...

He stopped in the middle of the line, again thinking, GOD won't be moved by this.
So he wadded up the letter and into the trash can it went.

Benjamin then went into the bathroom and grabbed a big terry cloth towel off the towel rack. He carried it into the living room and carefully laid it out on the couch. He smoothed out all the wrinkles. Then he went over to the fireplace mantle, reached up, and very carefully lifted down a statue of the Madonna. He had often seen his mother carefully dust the statue, and he had eyed it many times. On several occasions. his parents had told him that he could look but was not to touch the statue. Now, with all the care he could muster, he had it in his possession.

Benjamin gently placed the statue in the middle of the towel, carefully folding over the edges. He then placed a rubber band around the whole thing. He brought it to the desk, took out another piece of paper, and began to write his third letter to GOD. It went like this:

Dear GOD, if you ever want to see your mother again...

Are you all falling out of your chairs laughing? I know I am!!! LOL!!! Rolling, Rolling, Rolling!!!!

GOD Bless You!

Hey Donna! I was wondering if you celebrate Lent. If so, what are you giving up or adding to your life for the season?

Akirah,
I do not celebrate lent, but I have realized that I put a few things in front of my time with GOD. So, I am going to change a few things around in my day.
Normally, I spend time with GOD at different times during the day and sometimes during the evening.
I want to spend time with HIM before I eat breakfast, and even before I get the computer. Once I get on the computer, my time seems to fly. I want to spend time with GOD at the beginning of my day instead of the last. (Though it seems I study better at night)I just want GOD to have my first of my day.

Akirah, How about you?

GOD Bless You!

In service for CHRIST,
Donna

Well, my church gave out these guides for praying for your city. I love my city and I love its people and I know that God is the God of my city, so I want to devote the next 40 days praying for it.

I think I'm going to also try to be more accepting of people. Not necessarily accepting what they do, but accepting them. These 40 days could be a good way to get me in the habit of accepting others better.

Akirah,
That is so awesome! I will pray for you as soon as I finish typing this to you. Yes, I believe before our cities will heal, we need to pray over them. The enemy wants to destroy us so much. He wants to destroy us individually and it eventually impacts the city as a whole. I think it is commendable that your requests are for others and the city. They go hand in hand. PRAISE GOD for people like you. I am excited to hear how GOD moves in your life through this. Please let me know.

GOD Bless You!
